currently working on

AI is crossing from instrument to participant: a technology firms once simply used, now an agent they have to organize around. Quantum and the technologies behind it are moving the same way, a step further out. I study the strains this puts on organizations and on the people who run them. The first is saturation, the point where a firm can no longer absorb what the technology offers because its routines, not its ambitions, run out first. The second is displacement, what happens to a company's memory and to the trust and judgment of its people once that knowledge lives in models rather than minds. The third is conflict, how an organization should act when its obligations genuinely cannot all be honored and something has to give. I do not stop at naming these strains. I build for them: models, simulations, and working instruments that let people see a trade-off, act on it, and live with what they chose.

the precise version

In the language of the field: absorptive capacity at the point of saturation; the migration of organizational memory, managerial cognition, and interpersonal trust onto non-human substrates; and decision-making under irreducible multi-objective conflict, where no allocation satisfies every obligation and the residual cannot be engineered away. Some of the sharpest tools for these problems come from classical Indian thought. Nyāya is one of the most rigorous systems of logic and inference ever built, and Buddhist and Jain philosophy hold analyses of interdependence and irreducible conflict that Western thought has never quite matched. I bring them to questions of technology and management because they work, and because almost no one else does. The traditions are old; the problems are entirely of this moment.

Much of the research gets built as well as written. I make governance simulations and reproducible models that turn a structural trade-off into a decision someone has to make under stress, with consequences they cannot wish away. A scoring engine that refuses to let every objective win is a stronger claim than a sentence asserting the difficulty.

Each one does three jobs: a research instrument that tests whether a tension is truly irreducible, a teaching tool where people govern a system and live with the result, and a public artifact whose logic anyone can open up and check. Some are playable now, some are open code, some are landing soon.

about

A growing part of my work runs across borders, building research and collaboration between India and Europe, and the Netherlands in particular, in technology, strategy, and business.

I research, teach, build, and write where emerging technology meets governance, business, and cognition. The work moves between formal modelling, governance simulation, philosophy applied to organizations, and the financial and institutional machinery that carries new technology into use, from AI today to quantum and what follows. My training runs from engineering through the management of technology to strategic management, which is why I tend to read these as questions of structure, judgment, and choice rather than of tooling.

A conviction holds the work together: that several rigorous and rarely used traditions of analysis, classical Indian philosophy prominent among them, work as precise instruments, and that they cut cleanly through problems in emerging technology, innovation, and institutional design. I teach strategy, entrepreneurship, and emerging technology; I back a small portfolio of founders in AI, financial technology, education, and public-interest technology; and I have taught and researched at Rotterdam School of Management, Bayes Business School in London, and NEOMA in France.
